About Us

You may have learned to ski many years ago at Beartown Ski Area, or perhaps your own children or grandchildren are learning to do the same now. If so, you know Beartown. It has grown some, but in all of the nostalgic ways it has remained the same.

Beartown is still a non-profit ski hill offering skiing, snowboarding, a small terrain park, lighted trails for night skiing, and six kilometers of groomed cross country trails.  Ski Lessons are available in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding, and there is a coached Ski Team. The T-Bar and Poma Lift are like old friends. Our rustic lodge features the same fireplace and gathering rooms you remember. The grill offers homemade breakfast, lunch and snacks.   It has a volunteer board of directors and is patrolled by National Ski Patrol volunteers. Did we mention volunteers? Beartown was built on volunteerism and has a long history of families stepping up to make things happen. In this way Beartown belongs to everyone who comes to play in the snow.

At Beartown Ski Area, we pride ourselves on being an affordable option for families and for those who are eager to give skiing or boarding a try. We welcome you to come check it out and we look forward to seeing you!
